DIY home renovation workshops

Join our workshops if:

• you have always been a DIY enthusiast;
• you want to renovate your home, but you need more information;
• you want to do smaller renovation or mending tasks yourself instead of waiting for trained workforce;
• you would like to learn new things in a cheerful community.

If any of the above is true for you, you will definitely like our workshops! Our skilled instructors will help you learn the basics of fixing, working with electrical appliances and water pipes, and other small but important practical skills, while making sure you enjoy the time spent here. We provide all the necessary materials and tools. No previous experience is needed for the workshops. The age limit is 16 years.

Open Days

Visit us! Let’s get acquainted. If you’re interested in Habitat Creative Center or the housing situation in Hungary, join our open days to meet us in an informal way. We will inform you about our events, activities and volunteer opportunities, so that you can find what best suits you. We would love to meet you :)!

We invite you for an informal chat with some tea, coffee and snacks and playful interactive activities.

The Open Days are free of charge. However, we are happy to accept donations to help the work of Habitat for Humanity Hungary.

Thematic presentations and discussions

Why are home rent prices so high? How much do families spend on energy and heating? What are the typical problems of the residents of small villages, and what are those of big cities? What can we do to mitigate these? We cooperate with numerous professional organizations to find real answers to these questions. Join our open thematic events and learn more about housing!

“Everybody needs a home” Film club

We invite you to join our monthly film club, where we watch movies related to housing problems, and the issue of a safe and decent home. After the film screenings, we discuss the movie with experts and / or the creators.

If you don’t speak Hungarian, please check with us whether we can provide English translation!

Volunteer meetups

We are so happy to have an ever-expanding volunteer community! Thank you for coming regularly to our volunteer days, where together we make a nice and comfortable home for a family. The regular volunteer meetups are informal meetings, where we play, think and talk about volunteering together, to make our community stronger and to give space for new ideas.
